Kindergarten Readiness Program
The program offers children the opportunity to develop and strengthen their executive function skills which are foundational for learning, such as, turn taking, organizing and navigating transitions. Language skills will be taught through interactive circles, engaging stories, phonological awareness and rhymes. Academic skills are thoughtfully planned to support the individual child as all children learn at their own pace, with a focus on proper pencil grasp, recognizing numbers 1 to 10, understanding their value and rote counting to 20. Creating a classroom rich in Multiculturalism, Diversity and Community sprinkled throughout the day and woven into lessons, promotes inclusion in the classroom as well as the world we live in.
